The Magnetic Monster (1953) $20.00
Working for the O.S.I. (Office of Scientific Investigation), A-Man agent Jeffrey Stewart and his partner Dan Forbes are sent to a local hardware store where they find a strong magnetic field has magnetized every metal item in the store. Investigating further, they eventually trace the source of the magnetism to an airborn flight carrying scientist Howard Denker, now dying of radiation poisoning, who has carted on board with him a new radioactive element which he has bombarded with alpha particles for 200 hours. The element, dubbed "serranium," grows geometrically by creating matter out of energy which it absorbs from metallic objects surrounding it. Stewart calculates that if the substance is not destroyed soon that within 24 hours or so it will have grown large enough to throw Earth out of its orbit. With Richard Carlson (of It Came From Outer Space fame.)

A young boy named Fabrizio (Martin Loeb) and a girl named Laura (Lara Wendel) psychically explore their budding sexuality. Complications arise when another girl named Sylvia (Eva Ionesco) enters the picture. Fabrizio is then drawn to Sylvia and Laura now feels ignored. As the tension among the three builds, cruel games are invented to express complex emotions. (In German language, with English subtitles).

NOTE: This film comes from a very rare and totally uncut, widescreen German import print which runs 91 minutes. All other versions have been heavily cut and are missing at least 14 minutes of footage.

Trivia: The proper English meaning for the Italian title of "Maladolescenza" is "Adolescent Malice".

This film was co-produced by two Munich companies and an Italian enterprise from August 17th to September 16th, 1976 and was filmed in upper Austria and Kärnten. Chosen to play Sylvia was young Eva Ionesco, herself no stranger to controversy, as her mother was famous in their native France for her photos featuring a then five year old Ionesco in semi sexual artistic photography.

This film has been largely unseen in all but a few countries.

This controversial film has been banned in Germany (and many other countries) after a court ruling since 2006.





Malatesta's Carnival Of Blood (1973) $20.00
A decrepit roadside carnival is operated by an odd assortment of vampires, ghouls, zombies, with Herve de Villachaize (of Fantasy Island fame) who feed on those unfortunate enough to visit their circus.

Dwarf actor Herve de Villechaize had suffered many health problems during the last years of his life. He was born with undersized lungs and had nearly died of pneumonia in 1992. He also suffered from ulcers and a spastic colon. He was taking upwards of 20 pills a day to alleviate the symptoms.

In the early morning hours of September 4th, 1993, Herve's common-law wife found his dead body laying on their patio. He had written a suicide note and proceeded to his backyard with a tape recorder. He turned on the tape recorder and spoke, "Kathy, I can't live like this anymore. I've always been a proud man and always wanted to make you proud of me. You know you made me feel like a giant and that's how I want you to remember me...I'm doing what I have to do...I want everything to go to Kathy...I want everyone to know that I love them." In a sitting position, Herve leaned back against a sliding glass patio door, placed a pillow against his chest and then fired a pistol into the pillow, taking his own life. He was 50 years old.

The woman loves the young man, especially if they become rich with the book, but the little man from the future convinces them to give it back, since foreknowledge will ruin the potentials of their lives for honest growth and success.
