Many of his plays and films were done with his wife, Jane Hylton. He also appeared as a guest star in many television series. He spoke fluent French, German and Spanish. Peter died on August 19, 1977. The details of his death are still unknown. His wife Jane, never fully recovered from his death and died of a heart attack only a short time afterwards on February 28, 1979.
